OS X 10.4.2
OpenOffice.org Version 1.1.4

1. Starting OpenOffice.org 1.1.4 by the included launcher app.
2. Because of first time start selecting the Installation-folder of Starting OpenOffice.org 1.1.4 (Picture 1)
3. Installations and Initializings taking place (Picture 2)
4. Starting OpenOffice.org could not be started message (Picture 3 and 4)
5. Checking Preferences of Launchapp: Strangely only Starting OpenOffice.org 1.1.2 is presented as 
option. But why not launching the installed version Starting OpenOffice.org 1.1.4 (Picture 5)

Hi,  I apologise that no-one has got back to you on this one, especially as it
could be a P1.

Unfortunatly, I don't speak German, or use a Mac, but I'll try to help.
It seems unlikely that this is a problem in OOo, as it had to go through QA
before release, and if the qa team couldn't run it, it wouldn't have passed. ;)

Could you please answer the following questions so that we can try to diagnose
the problem.

- How did you manaage to install 1.1.4?  The latest (stable) version listed at
the MAC OS X page is 1.1.2
- Are you by any chance trying to use NeoOffice not OpenOffice.org?
- Does the problem still occur if you uninstall old versions first?
- Does the problem still occur with version 2.x.  This version is avalable from
http://porting.openoffice.org/mac/2.0.0rc3.html

I'm closing this one for now: no more information for months.

Reporter, I'm sorry too that you couldn't get any help until now.
Please try a newer version
(http://porting.openoffice.org/mac/ooo-osx_downloads.html) and reopen it if
necessary.
