Description redoffice 2005-10-28 13:38:42 UTC
Reproduce steps:
1. Create a slide with a bulleted list containing your language text in the
list
2. Click on an item in the list and then choose Insert --> Expand slide

Expected Result:
A new slide is created the title of the slide is the item in the list for
which Expand slide was clicked. The title is copied on the new slide
correctly. The text is not garbled.

Actual Result:
After operating,the original page losted.

I can confirm using 2.0.3 RC5

After Insert > Expand slide the original page is gone. I made sure that I was
working in Normal view (as the helptext points out).

Using Undo once brings back the original page. Using Undo twice restores the
original situation.

I checked with "2.0.2 German version WIN XP: [680m5(Build9011)]" and did not
find anything wrong. May be that that's a little unexpected, but "as designed".
Help text is:

> Creates a new slide from every top-level outline point (text one
> level below the title text in the outline hierarchy) in the
> selected slide. [...]
> If you want to keep the original slide, choose Edit - Undo.

I would prefer a solution to delete the first page manually if necessary instead
of that automatic function and I will think about an ENHANCEMENT issue for this.

reading 2.0.3 help, I find another text:

> Wenn Sie die Originalseite beibehalten möchten, müssen Sie sich bei der
> Wahl dieses Befehls in der normalen Ansicht befinden.

what would mean, the current behaviour is a defect.

I'll check again, in a more recent version, this is broken functionality or a
translation error.
