Description atlanx 2005-10-27 08:21:47 UTC
If you use the openoffice savedialog instead of the windows savedialog you can't
save files with an "#" in the filename like: Lesson #1

I checked with 2.0 German version WIN XP: [680m3(Build8968)] and can confirm the
problem.

If you created a document with name '12345#6789.odt' and save it using standard
WIN dialogues, it is also possible to save it with Menu "File - Save" (or Save
Button).

If I try to save it with "Save as" without changing file name, file will be
saved, but end of filename starting with '#' will be cut away. There is even no
extension ".odt" (although checkbox "Automatic extension" is checked). Old
filename '12345#6789.odt' becomes '12345'. The file '12345' can be renamed to
'12345.odt' and can be opened quite normal with OOo.

If I try to change '12345#6789.odt' to '12345#67890.odt' before "save as", I
will get the reported error message when I try to save.

Opening a file residing in a path that contains the #-character also fails.
And it fails silently (no user visible message, no console log message).

Reproduce:
try to open /home/user/mirror_server/#data/files/test.odt via File -> Open menu

Version OOo 3.2m12 Build 9483 (3.2.0.10 stock Ubuntu 10.04 version)
