Description branislav.klocok 2005-10-24 21:39:40 UTC
I have found that import of MS office files (graphics) doe not work correctly
in 2.0.
Funny thing is that it has worked correctly in 1.1.4.
I tested it on linux (SuSe10) and WinXP. Both have incorrectly imported the
presentation file (.ppt) which was imported more or less OK in 1.1.4.

Comment 2 branislav.klocok 2005-10-24 21:47:09 UTC
The file is attached to this issue.

Now I remember that somebody had a similar problem with MS word file and
broken import of graphics, but I can not find the file now. In case i will
find it later I will attach it to this issue.

I made a quick test with "2.0 German version WIN XP: [680m3(Build8968)]"
(comparing to resuts with "1.1.4 (German) WIN XP: [645m52 (Build 8824)]", and I
was not able to see gibber problems. The images looked a little more "pale" in
2.0, but the presentation worked without problems.

@brko
Please describe more specific what you mean with "incorrect"

Comment 7 branislav.klocok 2005-10-26 07:54:59 UTC
I think that the difference is more than visible.
Comment 8 branislav.klocok 2005-10-26 08:17:44 UTC
Sorry these screenshots were exports to html. I will add 2 new ones directly
from OOo, but the difference is the same.

Reassigned.
Comment 13 Rainer Bielefeld 2005-10-28 15:38:27 UTC
Yes, you are right, in normal size view it looks competely different. It seems
that line thickness is much smaller in 2.0. Can you provide the original image
from slide from which you made screenshot?

Funny thing, I was not able to copy the image (from slide with screenshot) to
OOo DRAW or Irfanview; not from 1.1.4 and also not from 2.0
Comment 14 branislav.klocok 2005-10-29 14:07:23 UTC
It will take me some time to get the original picture, because I am not the
author of this presentation, as soon as I get it I will attach it to this
issue.

Comment 20 sven.jacobi 2005-11-04 15:58:29 UTC
sj->thb: The zoom faktor is the reason that some lines are not visible, this can
be solved by supporting anti aliasing also for OLE objects, this seem to be
your construction site.
Comment 21 sven.jacobi 2005-11-04 16:45:26 UTC
sj: For the copy&paste problems I wrote Issue 57367.
Comment 22 thb 2008-06-27 14:55:19 UTC
There's some experimental stuff with rendering metafiles via canvas in ooo-build
(the emf+-related work), but this has other drawbacks (much slower than
non-antialiased rendering). Keeping this for the while.
