Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 56556
Autocorrect get capitalization wrong (TEH -> the)
Last modified: 2013-08-07 14:38:26 UTC
Autocorrect uses its own capitalization when inserting a correction, instead of trying to match the user's text. Typing TEH or Teh always gets replaced with "the", while it should match the capitals. Examples: TEH -> THE Teh -> The
Reassigned to SBA.
Confirming with OO 2.0.3 (m180) on Win XP - original capitalization is not retained.
SBA: Reassigned to OS.
Sorry, this is an enhancement request. AutoCorrection was not designed to support capitalization. Reassigned to requirements.
Still a problem in 00.o 2.04 -- I use autocorrect extensively to expand certain abbreviations and this is quite an annoying bug, especially when you're starting a new line and the word is the first in the sentence.
This is still happening in OpenOffice.org 3.2.1. Are there any plans for fixing this?
