Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 56384
Multisheet operation
Last modified: 2005-11-11 12:32:25 UTC
I am using multisheet workbooks for making e.g. budgets for several departments. Every department its own sheet and total ofcourse summed. By updating for the next year I simply want to remove specific year columns from previous year(s; in Excel this can be done by selecting all the sheets, selct the columns and/or rows to be deleted. This works perfect with Excel. Now I experienced that this not the case wthin Calc. Only in the visible (top) sheet the column(s) or row(s) is deleted. Moreover, if I do this in the 'totalsheet' cellreferences do not shift, e.g. if I remove the E-column the F-column becomes the new E-colmn, but the summing is stillover the sheets F-columns, thus giving wrong results. In Excel this operation can be done as above explained and gives correct results. Question: Is this known, and so is it policy not to include this type of "3D- operations. If (in OO) I select more than one sheet and fill in e.g. a number, it will be in all selected sheets, thus there is some 3D-functionality. In spreadsheets from other companies this is not the case; thus no 3D functionality at all. Kind regards, George Reman
