Description Unknown 2002-06-03 13:42:49 UTC
We installed OOo1.0 on Ultra1/Solaris7/CDE1.3, but the original icons are only
shown in a 'light' version and the color management of the whole desktop is
incorrect. Some colors are not shown any more. Since I changed the color depth
of all icons in .../OpenOffice.org1.0/dt/appconfig/icons/C to 16 colors,
everything is OK.

Thanks for posting Juergen.

Does this problem still exist with OO 1.0.1?
Comment 2 Unknown 2002-08-12 08:52:04 UTC
The problem is still there in version 1.0.1.
Comment 3 jkeil 2002-08-26 17:41:19 UTC
Confirmed; happens on Solaris 8 SPARC with a Creator3D, too.

This is probably a duplicate of 6266. Issue 6266 has a new set of icons
with reduced color usage that should fix the problem.

Sorry, but I don't know what to do with the attached icons of issue
6266.

My workaround for this problem was to reduce the color depth of
*all* icons to 16 (with 'xnview') and change the background color to
'transparent' (with 'dticon').

I wanted to attach my icons here but unfortunately the link 'Create a
new attachment' doesn't work at this time.

They were indended to be checked into the CVS tree or for use with
the OOo source tree.

Yes, that's exactly how I fixed it, too.

And there's yet another duplicated effort in fixing this in issue
5765 :-(

Reassigned to Éric.

ES->US: PLease evaluate
Comment 8 ulf.stroehler 2003-01-28 18:14:23 UTC
Hi ES/SBA,
I don't understand why you made me the owner of this task. I definitly
have nothing to do with icons on the CDE panel.
Seems that CDE has allocated a private colormap, due to memory
shortage on the graphics adaptor. Try reducing the resolution.
But the icons should be fixed anyway.
If there are already fixed ones, and the submitter doesn't know how or
where to copy them . . . sorry[...].
Task should be reasigned to OF.
Didn't set this one to duplicate because of the older ID.
Comment 9 eric.savary 2003-01-28 18:22:35 UTC
ES->OF: Thanks to the US' kind information, I reassign this task to
you. ;-)
Please check if issue 6266 is really duplicate of this one. Thank you.

Hi Lee,
the OOo icons are looking in 1.0.2. Is this still a problem in 1.0.2?
Comment 11 leecorbin.ooo 2003-03-06 11:46:22 UTC
I'm not sure what I can do with this; I don't have any access to
Solaris or CDE so can't check this out. Kevin Hendricks has integrated
my icons into the tree before so perhaps he knows more on this than I
do. Sorry!
Comment 12 eric.savary 2003-03-06 17:56:01 UTC
ES->Juergen Faber: You are the submitter of this issue, so please
check this in the 1.0.2 or to be sure in a 644.
I close and retarget this to OOo 2.0, just in case it wouldn't be fixed.
