Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 5510
"Format..." and "Find" has the same keyboard shortcut in the Find/Replace dialog (English version)
Last modified: 2003-09-08 16:56:16 UTC
The buttons "Format..." and "Find" both have "F" underlined as keyboard shortcut (i.e., keyboard shortcut Alt-F in Windows) in the Find/Replace dialog in the English version of OpenOffice. This makes is unnecessary difficult (although not impossible, I know) to use the dialog via the keyboard (which I always do). Alt-M seems to be available in the dialog, so "&Format" could be changed to "For&mat".
I guess this would solve the problem: Change line 1136 in \svx\source\dialog\srchdlg.src from Text [ English ] = "~Format..." ; to Text [ English ] = "For~mat..." ; (I'm not so experienced in that diff and patch stuff, so this is the best I can do right now).

Fixed since OOo1.0.1
Fixed and closed
Uwe Heth, I'm still getting the same shortcut in 1.0.1 and 1.0.2. Is it really fixed or must I apply the patch manually? eventhough using these 2 versions? Thanks
