Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 5492
Printing Fails when you set a frame background.
Last modified: 2013-08-07 14:39:57 UTC
I have been working on a few templets for open office and when you set the frame background to a graphic and try to print it sucks up all available drive space on the /tmp drive and dies with out printing. At first I thought that 100Megs mite not be enough so I switched to a 13gig drive and it did the same. The URL above is to one of the templates. It happens when you set the main frame (Around one of the CD-Images) to a graphic background.
Created attachment 2771 [details] Doc to use as test case. Note, the frame does not have a graphic in the background.
Created attachment 2772 [details] Template containing a frame with a graphic as the background.
Created attachment 2773 [details] PNG image that I used for the graphics background.
Thanks for taking the time to post James. Thank you for using and supporting OOo.
Duplicated on Win NT 4.0 SP6a, OOo 1.0.1. On my test box, CPU usage was over 50%, the print spool file was over 74MBs ( before I killed OOo ), and my temp drive was filling up. Eventually NT gave me a low on virtual memory error. I attached the file the user gave us a link to, as well as a modified version that included a frame with a graphic background.
Reassigned to Hasan.
