Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 54356
Shortcut to launch navigator in Impress not working
Last modified: 2005-09-16 10:18:19 UTC
Unfortenately there is no working shortcut to launch the navigator in Impress since it moved away from F5. Should be Ctrl + Shift + F5 afaik but deos not seem to be implemented yet.
Derek Brown September 10, 2005 I was not able to reproduce this bug. I am working on Windows XP Home SP2 with OpenOffice version 1.9.125. Upon entering Impress with a blank presentation, I used CTRL+SHIFT+F5 to launch the navigator, which displayed without delay. I created multiple slides and tested if Navigator displayed them correctly, which it did.
Not working on Win XP SP2, not working on Debian 3.2. Shift + F5 is working on XP, though. Perhaps a bug in the German version???
Windows XP Pro(5.1) OOo 2.0 Beta 2 v1.9.125(english) I was not able to reproduce this bug. I opened Impress to a blank presentation, and using Ctrl+Shift+F5 launched the navigator properly. I also tested with three presentations open with 3 slides in each. Everything appears to be working as intended. Shift+F5 doesn't open the navigator however. You might want to make sure that your F-keys are working properly. Some keyboard's F-keys are not enabled until after the drivers are installed. Then again, it might be a bug in the German version if that is what you are using. I tested it with the English version.
Never had any issues with the keyboard. The other shortcuts are working ok. I will test Linux tomorrow.
PC: Windows XP Home SP2 AMD XP 2200+ (cpu) GeForce FX 5200 (256 mb) 1 GB Corsair RAM Laptop: Windows XP Pro SP2 Pentium 4 (3.4ghz), hyperthreaded GeForce FX Go5700 (128 mb) 1 GB Corsair RAM ver: Open Office Beta 2 build: 1.9.125 David Yauch and Miguel Ramos We were unable to reproduce the bug. We tried using the short-cut on an empty slide and a set of slides. The navigator appeared, when we used the shortcut keys, on both of the slides.
I tested on several Computer. Seems to a problem with the keyboard (hp kb-0133) on Linux. On my Omnibook XE3 the shortcut does not function, though the keyboard driver is loaded when using KDE. My second desktop computer is working as should. Not an ideal situation, but I have no solution how work around this issue.
In draw this is still F5. In impress (english) under windows this works using CTRL/SHIFT/F5. Under Suse 9.1 I have no problems calling the navigator using CTRL/SHIFT/F5, no matter if it is english or german.
This seems to work like it should.
Closed. Thanks for your help.
