Description vogella 2005-09-01 11:04:55 UTC
Hello,

pasting a graphic will not always place the graphic their the cursor is.

Try the attached file. To below the line which writes "TRY TO PASTE THE GRAPHIC
HERE". and contrl + v the graphic from the document "Graphic_to_paste". The
graphic will appear on the next page.

This have been a long time so that it is very irritating. You always have to
include a lot of spaces then paste the graphic and the delete the spaces again.

Can you please check?

Best regards, Lars

The positionng of the graphic is not randomly... If there is enough space for a
grphic on the page, it will be inserted there. Otherwise it will be moved to the
next point which grants enough space for it.
There already exists an "enhancement" issue, which requests for a function to
fit the graphics size for the available space.
But currently, a graphic will be inserted into documents with its current size.

Closing duplicate.

Hello,

thank you for the quick replay. I believe scaling the graphic would not be
correct. Other word processing programs would extent the space and I believe
that is the most logical choise.

Also look also that the new attached file. If you copy the existing graphic and
paste it again then it will be placed upon the existing graphic.

Best regards, Lars

This is not a defect as MRU said: there's no space left. #30773 duplicated.

But, like reporter says, if we try to past the same graphic in the same document
this last will be placed upon the existing one.

Rewriting the summary.
