File->Open dialog always opens in a default state with alphanumeric sorting.
It should remember the last sorting (I often do by date, most recent) chosen
by the user.

TM->FT: This feature has worked fine in a SO5.2 but has gone in 6.0 !
Therefore, this is a request for an enhancement, so please have a look !

grabbing and accepting this. We already have an issue for this in our
internal bug tracking system at Sun, so I assume this is no question
for the product management.
