"Matte" is confusingly spelled "matt" in the surface menu of the 3D-settings
toolbar; this may be confusing to MS-Office users.

So if we are using en-us we probably should use "matte", however opinions are divided about the use of "mat" and "matt" as I read some lookups on the subject.

So all three versions are OK to use, but "matte" seems the better to write.
Pronouncing mostly always converts to "mat" (măt)

At the moment we use "Matt" in en-US:

I think we could then change en-US to "Matte"?
