Description ralphie 2005-07-25 14:46:11 UTC
1. Import the attached DocBook document with File->Open and setting the
   filetype in the file chooser to "DocBook".

2. A dialog appears, asking for a default font, encoding etc.

3. Document is imported, but only displayed as source, see
   http://www.pangea.at/~ralph/docbook-import.png
   Not, what I expected.

Java 1.4 installed, Windows XP, 118 but did not work with Linux/Gnome/114/Java 1.5
either.

Doctype -//OASIS//DTD DocBook XML V4.1//EN is different to -//OASIS//DTD DocBook
XML V4.1.2//EN which is in the Tools / Options / XML Filter Settings -> DocBook
file -> second tab page.
No bug, a known limitation that the Doctype has to be exact.

Thanks for your looking at this issue, jsi!

But shouldn't there be at least an error message notifying the
user that this is not a docbook file? This might apply to other
XML filters too. I do not see how any typical end user will
find out that miniscule differences in the doctype by him/herself.

Yes, I would agree but that would be more a feature and if you think there is a
need, write a feature task to user "requirements".
