Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 51961
export has problem with fonts
Last modified: 2013-08-07 15:21:02 UTC
after saving presentation to ppt, polish national chars were displayed "arial Unicode MS" although the rest of text is in Times New Roman. more over the "click here" fields from template were visible in ppt file [translated to polish], although they were not visible in OO. am not sure if those fields were hidden in OO or they weren't at all and appeared after exporting.
more over i tried to change this font in powerpoint and.. it's impossible. dont know why. whatever i choose, some of polish national chars leaves as "arial unicode MS" and there is no way to fix it. it needs to be some document preferences bug, because even if i create a new slide in presentation, after putting "ć", "ś", "ę" they are put as mantioned above, no metter what font is choosed.
Reassigned.
i changed the project template from this OO one to predefined microsoft ppt and it is ok. it means, that the problem is in some configuration of "master pages" as it is called in OO. but if not exported, in odp file, the fonts are all ok. i can't use any tool to check this configuration, because i don't know how to do that ):
Please attach a bugdoc to reproduce the bug.
am not sure how to add a file so i put it on my server. there is a link: http://nexor.pjwstk.edu.pl/oobug.7z am not sure if you will be able to see same thing as i do, because it could be some problem connected with regionals, so i've attached to screenshots. presentation was created in OO and saved as ppt.
To attach a document you must click on the 'create a new attachment' link. Please tell me what file format *.7z is.
7z is 7-zip. www.7-zip.org or izarc or any new version of winrar supports it. i've added zipped file if u prefer: http://nexor.pjwstk.edu.pl/oobug.zip
Set to new and change the target.
I can reproduce the bug. The fonts looks different on OOo and PPT. I've the fonts on my system therefore there is no reason for a font replacement with a font which looks different to the original font. Please have a look.
have a look... on what? i think i can't understand what should i do ):
sj->nexor: I think that was a misunderstanding, cgu meant me. And now as I am having some time to take a closer look to the problem the document is no longer available on the webpage. It would be good if someone can add this document as attachment, so I can reproduce this issue, otherwise it is not possible for me to fix this problem.
I copied the bugdoc to your 'tausch' directory.

I have similar problems with Greek fonts and have read reports that the same occurs with Hebrew fonts. Frankly, I don't expect that someone will eventually take care of this bug (it's been around for years) but i thought i had to let you know it does not affect only polish fonts.
