Description yapweiliang 2005-07-13 09:28:06 UTC
when exporting a document as pdf:-

pressing the 'export directly as pdf' button on the button bar (aka toolbar)
does not bring up 'pdf options' dialog (just goes straigt to 'properties of ...'
dialog - which asks for title, author, keywords, etc)

When doing the same from the menu File-->Export as PDF, it gives the 'pdf
options' dialog, then 'properties of ...' dialog

can it be made more consistent? thanks.

Also, i would suggest the order of events -

1. Export to PDF pressed

2. collect details

SUGGESTION: combine 'PDF options' dialog into 'properties of' dialog, or
put that as a sub-dialog of 'properties of'

3. finally, ask location to save in

Thanks.

This is of course intended. The button is called "export directly to pdf". It is
accordingly to the button next to it called "print directly", which will also do
not give the print optins dialog. This was designed to give the user a quick way
to print / export as pdf without entering all those options.
