Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 4911
OO 1.0 fail to render true type fonts
Last modified: 2003-03-11 18:00:51 UTC
I have just installed OpenOffice.org 1.0 (it _and_ en versions) on a Red Hat Linux 7.3 (Valhalla) system. On this system, I use true type fonts taken from a windows machine (verdana, tacoma etc...). Open Office can read, use and display these fonts, but it seem to be unable to anti-aliase them. With the 641d and below versions (tested with the same configuration environment) it was able to display nice anti-aliased fonts. Note that some fonts are anti-aliased, but I cannot say if they are the M$ ones. If you need more details, I can do some screenshots to better illustrate the problem. Note also, I have tested both gnome and kde with OO, with the same result. Thank you for you attention, Mario
