Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 48552
Custom Heading Styles Fail to Save / Load (randomly)
Last modified: 2017-05-20 11:19:29 UTC
Im creating a manual template for a job at work. Im using heading 1 through 10, which ive changed to font type "Batang". Ive created a custom list type called "manual_list", The list contains numbering eg. 1.0 Heading1, 1.1 Heading2, 1.1.1 Heading3, etc. Using WinXP SP2, ooo.m95, English (Australia) Fault Description: The numbering will randomly appear / disapper depending on how the document is edited, saved then loaded. Example: 1. Open the attached .odt file by double clicking on it 2. Go to the very bottom of the document, and from the "styles and formatting" window select Heading10. You will notice my numbering style. 3. Type some text as heading 10. 4. Press enter to get down to the next line (text body style) 5. Press the save button from the tool bar. 6. Close the document by using the 'x' button, don't close openoffice writer 7. Go File -> Recent Documents and select the document we are working with. 8. Look at what happens, only the last entry (heading10) is working, the rest of the numbering has failed. 9. Delete the information entered in step 3 above. 10. Press backspace until the cursor is at the end of heading9 11. Repeat steps 6,7,8 above and notice that the headings are working again.

MRU->HBRINKM: the list style "manual_list" is applied to the Heading X paragraph styles. But this is not shown in the document after opening. Also, when opening the attached document and saving / reloading it, the list style is removed as hard paragraph attribute from the paragraph in the document. The style settings are still o.k.
Considering the effort, the priority, the risk and our resource planning I've to retarget this issue to OOo Later.
Reset assigne to the default "issues@openoffice.apache.org".
