Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 48314
Impress crash when promote/demote in Outline view
Last modified: 2005-05-10 13:46:28 UTC
Impress 1.9.95 on win32 (XPSP2, P4 2.4HT, 1Gb RAM, also on XPSP2, P-M1.4, 1152RAM). Accepts input in outline view, but crashes when attempting to promote or demote individual lines or groups of lines. Appears to be a new 'feature' in 680_95. Steps to reproduce function as expected in 680_87. To reproduce. -- launch impress -- click 'create' to wizard -- Change to 'Outline' mode (click 'outline' tab) -- Enter text: "Slide 1<enter>Item 1<enter>Item 2<enter>Item 3<enter> Slide 2<enter> -- Highlight Item 1, 2, 3 (OR: Highlight a single item) -- Click 'Demote' (right-arrow) button on toolbar -- Impress freezes, unresponsive. No screen redraw. After 15-20 seconds, launches "OOo Document Recovery" process. Same behaviour occurs if content is introduced by cut/paste from another app or import html, etc. Same series of steps executed on OOo 1.9.87/680_87 functions as expected (ie: items promote/demote, etc without problems) Possibly related to issue 39976 ??? Happy to answer additional questions and/or fix. Feel free to contact me.
Silly typo. Happy to answer additional questions and/or test - I don't have the clue to fix!
Reproducible in current internal version.
Reassigned. This is a showstopper.
Fixed, was a regression to issue 46615. OutlineView::ParagraphRemovingHdl and OutlineView::DepthChangedHdl where not guarded from page change events.
Verified in cws impress52, back to qa re-open issue and reassign to wg@openoffice.org
reassign to wg@openoffice.org
reset resolution to FIXED
Verified in CWS.
Tested in master m102. Closed.
