System hang when I do this:
1. Select Tools, Options, OpenOffice.org, View.
2. Tick "Large 
buttons".
3. Click "OK".
4. System hang.

The display stuff are:
  Display Card: 3Dfx Banshee
  
Resolution: 1152 x 864
  Color: 24 bit

Works ok for me.
W2000 5.00.2195 Service Pack 2
ATI RAGE MOBILITY-P AGP 16bit 1024x768 and alos 24bit 1280x1024

Reassigned to myself.

It works for me with True Color 32bit, 1152x864, ATI Radeon 7200
Possibly a problem of the grafic card (RAM?)
Attempt this:  Reduce the depth of color, e.g. to 16bit

Yes, it works when I set to 32bit, 1152x864.
Guess it's driver's fault?
I changed to 
24bit before because the buttons' images were messed up when in 32bit.
