Description bluedwarf 2005-04-11 00:23:10 UTC
We (I and Mr.Yabuki and Mr.Usami) have translated "About issues" page in Japanese.

Source: http://qa.openoffice.org/issue_handling/project_issues.html
Translation: http://ja.openoffice.org/documents/issue/project_issues.html

I request replacement of the "about issue" link in this page:
http://ja.openoffice.org/servlets/ProjectIssues

Hi
Replacing "ProjectIssues" is not easily done in this instance. It is much easier to make the link available
to your users as you do now.

That said, I'll see if CollabNet can do this, but first: I actually did think, however, that IssueZilla had
been localized to japanese already. Second, what license would obtain? You are asking to replace a
CollabNet licensed page with something of your own writing. Are you willing to cede license to
CollabNet? It's not open source.

OK. I'll broadcast this translation for the Japanese users and I hope the
replacement will be done if they can.

To be sure, IssueZilla had been localized to Japanese, but it is not enought to
help us report bugs. We need some documents about how to report issues. This
translation is one of them.

And I don't think this replacement act against CollabNet's license. We've just
translated LGPL licensed page created by QA project and I just request changing
the link to translated page in concern with the locale preferences of WWW browsers.

great. I think I was a little confused as to which page you wanted to broadcast. But it seems (Stefan
offlist corrected me) that you just want to provide useful information, not actually replace what we
cannot easily replace. Go ahead--and it has no bearing on CollabNet's IP.

thanks
