Hard to believe I could find this already in the DB. It seems to me that even
more important than choosing the type of transition is controlling the speed.
"Fast"..."Slow" are very course and imprecise. I would propose expressing the
transition in seconds with 1/10 a second resolution. Something like zero through
3600 seconds. This would bring to Impress the control that we have had for years
with the old Kodak Slide projector.

The fancier version of this would be to allow the user to control the transition
on a time line marking the beginning and end of the transition. This model is
expandable to allowing for a transition "envelope" for a non-linear fade. It
would also allow for accurate sound sync.
