Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 45026
oo.org remains in memory when presentation wizard closed
Last modified: 2005-03-30 12:53:59 UTC
open oo.org. create a new text document. choose "file->new->presentation". close oo.org main window. click on "cancel" in presentation wizard. oo.org remains in memory. another instance does not run, thus it seems to user that oo.org "just stopped working" in some cases oo.org crashes after these actions, but i haven't been able to reliably reproduce crashing.
confirm with m85 PJanik on SuSE 9.2 x386 'ps axu' after closing presentation wizard: max 5906 0.0 0.6 3524 840 pts/1 S+ 20:07 0:00 /bin/sh ./soffice max 5917 3.9 38.7 145396 48860 pts/1 Sl+ 20:07 0:11 /home/max/OpenOffice.orgm85/program/soffice.bin

Reproducible. I have not only a simple "stays in memory" but a crash here.
Reassigned to Andre.
Please have a look at this.
.
cd: There is no easy fix as it depends on other fixes. cd->as: As discussed this is the same bug as your internal one. Please take this one for the community. As the internal bug is set to OOo 2.0.1, I will also set this one to that target.
The problem behind: This dialog was implemented as a modal one ... changed to non modal mode (but not realy reimplemented) ... and now changed back to modal mode.
AS->WG: Please verify this task on the cws fwkfinal2 again. THX. Note: This wizard is now in modal state again. Further you have to check ANY(!) possible combination of using this dialog and trying to close the office. Closing of the office must be not possible till this dialog was finished! Especiyl on unix you have to check if now the dialog cames up on the same unix desktop then the office resists. Ask me for further informations. re-open issue and reassign to wg@openoffice.org
reassign to wg@openoffice.org
reset resolution to FIXED
Verified in CWS.
Tested in master. Closed.
