hello, on my Linux system here it works flawlessly. Is your problem maybe related to file permission restrictions?
Not reproducible on WinXP either. What do you mean exactly with "cannot be saved"? Any error message or so? Thanks in advance.
Thanks for comment. I used WinXP Service Pack 2 instead of WinXP alone. I wonder if this was a reason why you said "Not reproducible on WinXP." Concerning the file, I recall that it could not be saved as PowerPoint format after I inserted a slide at the end. Then, I inserted textboxes and typed in this slide. OOo crashed and the file was recovered with the data without the inserted slide. I retried and I failed again in saving the data. Thanks again.
I have Service pack 2 on XP, too. But I was no able to reproduce the crash once. I generated a stack which I will attach here.

Reassigned. Please have a look if the stack tells you something.
This issue is not reproducible, as I try once more. Strange it sounds to me.
The title, the stack and the description tells me this issue has the wrong owner
sj->wg: I am sorry, I can't reproduce this issue, and as long as this issue is not reproducable when saving the sample document, the stack is not helping-
I recall that I attempted to save the sample PowerPoint file for the first time in OOo when it could not be saved. Thisd file was uploaded _after_ this unsuccessful attempt. Previously, I created and edited the file using MS Office _only_. Would this information help?
I get crash when reloading the file after saving the changes. Maybe this is connected. The file is mentioned as "read-only" in the top line then crashes. I can reproduce this in beta but not in current internal version. If the problem still occurs after a m85 is available please reopen the issue. Thanks for your help!
