In excel, f i drag the autofill handle with the right mouse button, i can select
"fill with series" / "copy". 
Use case: often i do not want a number to be auto-filled as a series but to be
auto-filled with exact copies.

This functionality is there. Just hold down the CTRL Key by dragging the
autofill handle. IMHO this enhancement seems usefull but not necessary.

I did not know this. 
But when do trainings i would prefer to tell people "you dont have to learn all
that, just right-drag and the application asks you"
(which is what MS office does, and what many apps do when draganddropping)

perhaps this is for user-experience?
