Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 43020
self signed certificate can't be used for doc signing
Last modified: 2006-03-07 20:29:12 UTC
Listed in my certificates, also has a private key, but doesn't work
The reason is that the certificate has an invalid serial number. According to RFC 3280, A legal serial number should be positive, and in current libxmlsec, negative serial number is not supported. So StarOffice can't create signature by using such a certificate.
Malte, I just integrated a new patch which Aleksey provided into our patch (xmlsec1-1.2.6.patch), the problem is fixed now. BTW, the libxmlsec module is using xmlsec 1.2.6 now. (Anyway, the patch 1.2.4 is not deleted yet.) Michael
Then please set issue to fixed, and later verify on master when we finish this CWS...
Works now :)
