Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 4170
Misplaced menus on secondary monitor of Windows 2000 dual head
Last modified: 2003-03-11 17:58:54 UTC
When selecting a menu on an OO window located on the secondary monitor of a dual head display, the menu is displayed on the primary monitor. The item is displayed with the correct Y coordinate, but the X coordinate is set to zero of the primary monitor (regardless of where it should have been on the secondary monitor). This problem occurs with: -menus -dropdown boxes -tooltips The problem also occurs for toolbar buttons that extend to menus (eg. 'Insert fields' in Writer), but for toolbar buttons that extend to toolbar-windows (eg 'Insert object') no toolbar-window is displayed at all. When working on the primary monitor, there are no problems at all. I have reproduced this on Windows 2000 Advanced Server SP2 and Windows 2000 Pro SP2. Sorry, I don't have access to any Win98SE or Windows XP dual-head setups.
