Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 39887
[vcl33] : crash when I cancle the file dialog in web wizard
Last modified: 2005-03-16 15:42:05 UTC
seen in CWS vcl33 : - open the web wizard - insert some files (I added an empty calc, impress and writer file) - go to the last page ob web wizard - click on create (the settings are saved) - delete or rename all files, which you are added to the last wizard session (with file dialog) - restart the web wizard - choose the setting of the last web wizard session - on the second page you are asked, if you want to relocate the files => click yes - cancle the file dialog => very often you get a crash at this action, but sometime, you have to repeat this action for the other files => the Java-stack is attached. This bug is new in this CWS, because before this CWS you get a loop when you click on 'yes' for relocation the files.
Created attachment 21047 [details] Java stack for the crash
BC->SSA: Similar to #i39885# this bug occurrs outside the VM in VCL
I think it's a duplicate to issue 39885
fixed in CWS vcl33 The continuing problem is that java tries to work on windows that are already destroyed
reopen for reassign
please verify in CWS vcl35
fixed
Reopening for re-assignment.
US->HI: as TZ is ill for the moment, can you pls. try to verify this. Thank you.
Setting resolution back to 'FIXED'.
Verified with cws vcl35: Not able to verify on windows and sparc. No try on linux. WebPage doesn't work. When I try to finish on first run, an error appears while generating the table contents page(s).
Back to BC
BC: Fixed in dbwizard3
.
I did the same like described on top and the problem still occurs. Windows: The crash occured after the 3th cancel at the file open dialog. After that I was not able to add the same files on further run Linux: The relocate answer Yes or No will hang and will not proceed.
The basic reason for this bug seems to be that a thread is created I submitted bug 42212 to have an opportunity to renounce the thread. Therefor I remove the bug from the childworkspace after discussion with hi
Fixed in toolkit01
BC->HI: I fixed the problem by eliminating the threads in the wizards and could not reproduce any crash.
Verified with cws toolkit01 = ok
Verified with integrated 680m85_8884.
