Sorry, I cannot reproduce this. Is the crash reproducible on your machine?
If so, please try this: go to tools/options/Openoffice.org/View/3dview/ and
uncheck the use OpenGL option. If that solves the problem it is the fualt of a
badly programmed graphic card driver.
If the crash comes frequently please add an explicit step by step description of
your action. Thanks in advance.

un fortunately, no, i can not reproduce this.
opengl was not enabled.

there was a suggestion to report this against java hotspot - any reason to do
that ?

If this comes up again it would be a possibility to try the newest java version.
Reassigning this to Armin. Do you have any clue what this might be?
Comment 6 Armin Le Grand 2005-01-12 15:31:37 UTC
AW->WG: No no clue. The whole 3D stuff has nothing to do with java at all.
Without OpenGL, we use a simplified internal OpenGL renderer, with OpenGL we
just use OpenGL. Java is never included or needed for that. It is a good idea to
keep this in mind, but this will happen automatically since in 8 installs OpenGL
is off and when new java is installed, this error will pop up again, so no need
to take any special action on this one as long it cannot be reproduced.

btw, regarding this - i've gathered a bunch of these reports that i have no idea
how to reproduce (i was using several apps etc) - is there any reason to file
them as issues ? or should i just delete them ?
Comment 10 wolframgarten 2005-01-13 12:08:09 UTC
If they cannot be reproduced there is not much we can do about it... Thanks for
your help.
