Description simonbr 2002-04-11 13:09:00 UTC
I found this problem with 641D (Dutch) under WXP, using the Dutch spell check
word list, but I observed the same problem with 641D English, freshly
reinstalled under W98, with no additional spell check word lists installed.
Starting Writer for the first time, enable autospellcheck, then type the
following line:
(this), “that”.
with a space at the end.
The character combinations ), and ", get a red crinkly line.
These character combinations *are* correct according to Dutch spelling rules (I
am not sure about English, e.g. if you type
"that."
it is not rejected, I think in English that is correct)
Apart from that, I think sequences consisting of only punctuation should not be
presented to the spell checker in the first place.

TM->SBA: Seems to be more a writer- or word-processing-problem than a
framework-problem to me. Please have a look !

Hi,

Adding myself to this issue since I may have to work around this
issue from the MySpell side.

I have been unable to see this in my PPC Linux build but I am
using a new version of breakiterator.cxx than what was actually
tagged for oo641d.

Perhaps Juergen and Thomas may know something here.

Thanks,

Kevin

Joost->Thomas: could you please help him ?
Comment 4 stefan.baltzer 2002-05-06 10:05:13 UTC
SBA->TL: Reproducible in openoffice.org 642 when custom "double end
quote" is set to 0x201D (8221) via Tools-AuttoCorrect-Custom Quotes.
Reassigned to Thomas.

TL: This problem and allmost all other problems with the i18n
(breakiterator, etc.) should be fixed in the next build based on an
642 source because of the use of the enhanced i18n.

 Hi,

Tried to add a workaround for this issue to MySpell for 641 based
sources.

Thanks,
