Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 39718
Adding snap line doesn't prompt save on quit
Last modified: 2017-05-20 10:48:14 UTC
Open an existing Draw document. Create a new snap line. Click to exit. OpenOffice.org doesn't prompt to save.
Reproducible.
Reassigned to Christian.
I replicated it. i using OOo1.1.4 windows2000 5.00.2195 sevice pack 4 i use "insert">" InsertSnap Point/Line.." doesn't matter which i choose, "point, vertical ot horizontal" even change the position after created. it will exit without notification of save. i think it doesn't consider snap point/Line as an useful action.
Snap point/line are just guides like rulers so they don't actually change the final print or display of the graphic. That's probably why OpenOffice doesn't prompt to save the file if a snap line is added and no changes are made to the drawing itself. I would not have expected a prompt to save the file if there were no changes made to the drawing itself. I was surprised though when I tried this on other drawing or photo editing programs such as Adobe Photoshop and got a prompt to save on exit.
It was reproduced in OOo 1.1.4 Windows XP Professional, Version 5.1, Build 2600, Service Pack 1. It can be reproduced by executing the following steps: 1.Create a new Drawing file and do some drawings, save the file. 2.Select “Insert -> InsertSnap Point/Line..", click on “Verticalâ€, and click “OKâ€. 3.There is a vertical snap line shown on the graph, and we can move it to somewhere else, or just leave it there. 4.Quit Drawing. Note: There is no prompt of saving the file before quit. 5.Reopen the file, the snap line loses.
