Description winchester 2004-12-29 21:10:42 UTC
I am having difficulty replicating the "Accounting" Format in Excel. When I
copied a spreadsheet from Excel it duplicated the format code exactly as a user
defined category under the numbers tab in the format cells area. However there
are two very important formating problems.

1st the $ sign lines up immediately to the left of the number as apposed to the
left side of the cell. For example [space][space][space]$1,999 as apposed to
$[space][space][space]1,999.

2nd the underline only goes under the numbers not the entire cell as in Excel.
Putting a border on the bottom of a cell is not an acceptable alternative.

I think the program is great, however until I can find a solution to the two
formating issues I can't switch to it and abandon Excel (all the financial
statements I prepare use the Excel "accounting" format).
