- open a new drawing document
- insert two rectangular shapes
- select one of the shapes
- File|Export
- anter an arbitrary name/location to export to
- as format, chose "BMP ..."
- uncheck the "Selection only" check box
- press "Save"
- confirm the next dialog with OK
=> the drawing page is exported. However, looking into the resulting bitmap file
   shows that in fact only the selection has been exported
