Description chris319 2002-03-27 12:19:54 UTC
Version 642 reassociated .sdc file type to OOo. Was unsuccessful in
associating .sdc back to Star Office 5.2, requiring entire C: partition to be
restored from backup. IIRC this reassociation did not occur under 641c.

NOT ACCEPTABLE to reassociate file types without user consent.

Sorry, but this is not fixable. Of course the last installed product
will be the application to open the sdc files. In this case the
OpenOffice.org overwrites the Windows registry keys from the
StarOffice 5.2. We cannot offer to ask the user, which changes in the
registry shall be overwritten by OpenOffice.org and which shall be
used by StarOffice.
If the user wants to open the sdc files with StarOffice 5.2 this can
be changed very easy with the Windows explorer, that the normal way,
Windows handles these problems (you do not need to restore c:\ ). In
the Windows Explorer you can open for example the context menu of a
sdc file and select the application to open this selected file.
