Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 36237
Presentation system saves incomplete files if low on harddisc storage !
Last modified: 2013-02-07 22:40:21 UTC
Hej ! I suspect that there is a problem when OpenOffice runs out of harddisc storage space in Linux: It seems to save the file, but the .sxi-files are _incomplete_, missing crucial components, see http://www.mpi-sb.mpg.de/~gziegler/mpeg_texfold.sxi (it misses content.xml in root, and thus shows up as empty presentation). I could reproduce the problem twice before I cleansed the harddrive. The "fix" I would wish for is to have a warning dialog indicating that the file could not be saved - I had to redo one day's worth of work. Servus, Gernot

Priority changed.
If you miss an error message or such, then you should change "issue type" to "Enhancement" and find some people who vote for it ... ;) Just my €0.02 ... ;)
Changed to enhancement. Reassigned to Bettina.

I have no clue if this issue still persists - but I think it is important for the developers to keep in the back of their head and test on occasion. But: Saving incomplete files without a notification cannot possibly be an _enhancement_ - this is a bug and must be fixed. Important data would be irrecoverably lost without the user knowing it!
To grep the issues easier via "requirements" I put the issues currently lying on my owner to the owner "requirements".
