Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 36146
Freezing application when starting impress OLE in writer
Last modified: 2004-11-25 16:05:11 UTC
Was okay in m47. Open a new writer, insert an impress OLE, right click and start the presentation. It appears not fullscreen and it can hardly be ended and close anymore. Sometimes under linux the system does not react anymore.
Accepted.
See task #117564# for a related bug (crash when starting the show from an Impress OLE object the second time.)
Using the right method to close the frame fixed the problem
Reopened for verification
.
Still have serious problems under linux when the presentation has started. Windows looks good.
Back to Matthias. Please have a second look.
sorry, but this is another problem. Impress is currently still unstable, especially if you use it Inplace, and especially on Linux. This issue is about the missing ability to terminate a presentation if it was started from an embedded object, and obviously it's fixed.
Thats what I meant with "problems". When I start an embedded presentation under linux it is - still - hard to stop. It shows the behaviour why I wrote this issue.
Reopened.
Reassigned to Matthias. If the fix cannot be tested because other issues keep me from seeing the fix I cannot set this to verified.
Then we have two issues. One issue was that the presentation couldn't be terminated on any platform (because the code in Impress that should close the window was wrong). This issue has been fixed. If you have additional problems on Linux we should create another issue for it and assign it to AF.
So we have a solution now: this one will be verified since there is something fixed (windows works). For the problem that linux still looks bad another bug will be written to Andre.
Follow up is i36988.
Closed.
