RoundedCorner Specifications in Style
Last modified: 2013-02-07 22:36:20 UTC
It is desirable to have the ability to set the radius of corners on rounded rectangles as an element of the object style. Ideally, this could apply to any object's borders. For example, the Corners tab of the Style would have a radio button group to select Absolute or Relative to object width or Relative to object height or Relative to both (elliptical radii). If Absolute was selected, the only other adjustment allowed would be the absolute measure, which could be negative, giving a concave rounded corner. If any Relative option was selected, the appropriate measurement spin control would allow inputs in any of the valid units. Another section on this tab would allow the specification of the length of the arc, in degrees, defaulting to 90. Still another section would allow the user to specify the corner type for each of the four corners, so the rectangle could have square corners on, say, the top two corners, and rounded on the bottom two, or any other combination. I think that would give a valuable bit of control to users for borders of just about any object.
Reassigned to Bettina.
