Please go to Tools/options/Openoffice.org Draw/Grid/Snap position/when creating
or moving objects. If this is checked drawing a rectangle or an ellipse results
in a square or a circle. This can only be helped by pressing SHIFT when dragging
open the object.
Though this feature might make sense the name of the option and the text in the
online -help is very misleading and ahs nothing to do with the results.

To grep the issues easier via "requirements" I put the issues currently lying on
my owner to the owner "requirements".
