Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 3365
Scaling makes options dialog box unusable.
Last modified: 2003-02-23 15:18:04 UTC
(window manager is pwm, if it matters) I went into the "tools/options" menu to ask openoffice to use 125% font sizes, because I tend to use a higher resolution on my display than most people would. That worked great... and then, when I reopened the options window, I could only see the upper-left 3/4ths of it or so. Of course, all of the buttons for cancel or accept are outside that... Luckily, <cr> assigns values, so setting the size back lets me use the options box... but it should resize itself, not just scale itself. Note that it also prohibits me from resizing the window using my window manager, which contributes to the problem. Suggested fix: 1. Let the user resize the options window, no matter how silly this seems. 2. Calculate the size of the options window based on current scale.
In 643c, the option dialog grows as expected. The Insert-Hyperlink dialog does not. We have to figure out, what dialogs "types" are still affected. Maybe it depends on certain [display] control types. Reassigned to Éric.
ES->MBA: I could reproduce the same as SBA on Windows with the Hyperlink dialog. Is this a "dialog by dialog" problem or do we have a general "switch" to avoid this?
No idea. I forward this to our UI team.
