Description Joe Smith 2004-08-19 23:35:52 UTC
Steps to repeat:
1. New > Drawing
2. Create an object (I tried text or rectangle)
3. (Sanity check) With the object selected (handles showing), press any arrow
key ONCE and release. The object moves slightly in the desired direction. This
is correct behavior.
4. Now (with the object selected), press the arrow key and hold it for 1-2
seconds, so that they key repeats.
5. The object will move slightly, then begin to flicker, with OOo consuming all CPU.

I've found no way out, other than to kill the app.

Sorry, this cannot be reproduced here. When I keep the button pressed the
objects moves to the slide till it is not visible anymore. Can you provide a
little more information about your system (which kind of Linux, Windowmanager,
CPU etc.)? Thanks in advance.

Sorry for the delay, I was away from my desk and couldn't check.

OOo 1.9.m49

Linux: Fedora Core 1/Gnome/Metacity (set to focus follows mouse)

Yeah, if I run it under bare X (no WM at all) on the same system, it works fine.

I can try it under FC2 at home.
