Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 32792
DocBook inlinegraphic element not being displayed by OOo
Last modified: 2018-05-16 12:34:32 UTC
Firstly I believe that issue 9729 on smalldevices "Image support for docbook" is not related to the following problem: After inserting a graphic into a DocBook file, saving and re-opening it, the graphic is not viewable (but the image anchor is selectable). This happens even though the XML seems to have been inserted correctly into the document <inlinegraphic fileref="file:///C:/REPORT%20BUG/OOo1_9_m49/test.png" width=""/> System ------ OpenOffice.org 1.9.m49 (OOo_1.9.m49_Win32Intel_install - all options installed) Windows XP SP1 Java: j2re1.4.1_02 Procedure to reproduce problem (I'll post an attachment with the files mentioned below) -------------------------------------------------- 1. Open document test_1_9_m49.xml "Files of type: DocBook(*.xml)" 2. Main Toolbar: Insert>Graphics>From File 3. Insert Graphics dialog: Selected test.png ensured Link was checked. SCREEN GRAB: InsertGraphic.bmp 4. Main Toolbar: File>Save As> testPIC_1_9_m49.xml 5. Main Toolbar: File>Close, Yes to warning "Saving in external formats ..." 6. Opened document testPIC_1_9_m49.xml "Files of type: DocBook(*.xml)". graphic is not viewable SCREEN GRAB: OpenXMLFile.bmp Notes: 1. This problem also occurs in OOo 1.1.2 and 1.9.47 2. If I reset the inlinegraphic fileref attribute to <inlinegraphic fileref="test.png" width=""/> a broken link appears where the image should be. (see testPIC2_1_9_m49.xml and Screen Grab newFileRef.bmp)

A duplicated issue, but you have the better overwiev.
cc'ing myself.
Has there been any progress on this issue or the issue this duplicates as mentioned by jsi back in August 2004? Also what is the number of that duplicate issue? Forgive me if I'm missing something but I don't think it can be issue 9729 (referenced by me originally) as this is still marked as UNCONFIRMED. Thanks.
