Description andree 2002-02-17 13:59:11 UTC
when dragging and dropping an image file drom Nautilus to OpenOffice all that
aapears is a text string with the fully qualified filename like:

  file:/home/andree/103-0335_IMG.JPG

I'd expect the image file itself to be pasted rather than the location.

I'm just filing this for Draw as this is the most prominent example. Really, I
think it should paste the file in all OpenOffice components.

Best regards
Andree

Hello Thorsten, as you supposed, Nautilus always executes a link,
when i.e. a graphic is dragged. According Phillip it should be
possible to get the graphic.

The problem is that we receive a MIME-Type "URI-List" from Nautilus. That is, we get a
list of text strings with the meaning: "these are links". Will try to let the
GraphicDescriptor guess the type, and if it's a graphic, insert it as a linked
graphic.

I have tested this on a current version and it works. Please feel free
to reopen the issue if it still occurs on a newer version. Thanks for
your help.
