Description ezh 2004-07-01 20:35:21 UTC
The horisontal scrollbar is too wide by default in Calc and Impress. Tot all
tabs are shown.

Look at the pictures.

PS In MSO they are smaller and that should OOo also do.

I can see how the scrollbar is too wide to display all the tabs in this
particular example, but that is because you have chanaged the set of tabs.

For the default set of tabs (sheet 1 -> sheet3), the scrollbar does allow
plenty of space for them to be displayed properly. Obviousely if you change to
tab names to something longer, you might have to make the scrollbar a bit
smaller to accomodate this, which is not a problem, since this can easily be
done.

In the example of how you think it should be, the scrollbar is too narrow to be
useful, and most of the space is wasted, even with your lenthened set of tabs.
Surely it would be more sensible to make the scrollbar by default a sensible
size to accomodate the default set of tabs, since the default scrollbar length
always appears in conjunctiion with the default set of tabs.

ed2, I work with pricelists with many tabs in it. And I have every time to
smaller the scrollbar. This is the most annoyance in OOo for me. As you can see
in my "should be" there are more tabs. They are just hidden to the left. And
anyway the scrollbar does it's function even in my "should be". Excel has
smaller scrollbar, BTW, than OOo's default size.
