I noticed in the generated bootstrap file, this check is made:

set platform = `uname`

Most versions of irix will have this displayed in all caps, so this check
fails.

else if ($platform == "Irix" || $platform == "Irix64") then

...small issue.

As mentioned on the qa dev list on March 5th I will close all resolved duplicate
issues. Please see this posting for details. First step in IssueZilla is
unfortunately to set them to verified.
