Description hafflys 2004-04-18 06:33:41 UTC
This was seen on both OO 1.1.0 and 1.1.1.

I opened a presentation document consisting of six slides. I wanted to print a
double-sided brochure, so I selected the print range box and told it to print
pages "1, 3, 5". It printed two pages correctly, but not the third. I selected
to print "2, 4, 6", and observed the same behavior.

I was able to print the third page individually, but not as part of a series.

This is reproducible but only if you use the formatting "1, 3, 5", not when you
use "1,3,5". Just leave the spaces out.
By the way: do you know we have a functionality tp print a brochure (File,
print, options, page options and check brochure).
Reassigned to Thorsten. Please have a look if there is something that could be
done about this. Thanks.

I reproduced the error in Linux 2.4.31 with OOo 1.1.0 and 2.0 as well as Windows
XP with OOo 2.0. I replicated the error using the following steps:

1. I created six slides in Impress.
2. I labeled each slide by inserting text. The first slide was labeled
“Slide 1â€, the second slide was labeled “Slide 2†and so on until the sixth

slide.
3.Then I printed pages 1,3,5 by selecting the Pages under Print Range and typing
“1, 3, 5â€. My results were the same.

I further tested this by reprinting this time the pages I printed were 1,3,5,6,
by typing “1, 3, 5, 6†for the Page Range. I also had the printer print on both
sides of the page so I could see the results accurately. On the first page
“Slide 1†was printed on one side and “Slide 3†was printed on the revers side.
On the second page “slide 5†was printed but there was nothing on the reverse
side. This provides enough evidence to show that for some reason when the Page
Range is given with spaces between the numbers and the commas the last page does
not get printed.

I also tried to print the slides by omitting the last space after the last
comma(for example: 1, 3, 5,6), this didn't print the last slide either. So it
would seem that putting any spaces between a comma and a number when entering
the Page Range would cause the last slide not to print, its not dependent on the
last space before the last page number.
