Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 26583
ActiveX crash on file load error - file names with apostrophe
Last modified: 2013-02-07 22:14:42 UTC
When opening a URL in Internet Explorer 6, the OpenOffice ActiveX control has problems with URLs containing apostrophes. For instance the following HTML code snippet: <a href='file://///Odin/valhalla/Brenda/Boar's Head W712 03-09- 2004.sxw'>Boar's Head W712 03-09-2004.sxw</a> Gives the error: "Error loading document //Odin/valhalla/Brenda/Boar file does not exist" and then a pop-up says: "An API call exited abnormally" and then IE crashes. Please let me know if you need more information. Thanks!
