Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 26107
ooo crashes when trying to create a report
Last modified: 2013-08-07 14:41:21 UTC
OS : WIN98SE (4.10.2222 A) (Athlon 1Ghz) version : 1.1.1b and 1.1.1RC When I try to create a report from file/autopilot/report from my newly installed Ooo, ooo crashes, then sends an error report
I forgot to give the version of the installed java (could be useful) : Java SE 1.4.2_01
correcting component P2 -> P1 keywords: +crash
Mystery... The bug doesn't appear any more ! I cant now create new reports without difficulty. The bug was there just after the installation of ooo 1.1.1b and ooo1.1.1RC, I could reproduce it many times but now it has disappeared. I re-installed ooo1.1.1rc : no bug. I don't understand...
but certain the Ooo has a problem with Autopilot Report.. here I can't receive a crash report, but a message saying that some files needed is missing... see the Issue #24341 http://qa.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=24341 Hwoarang
reporter can no longer reproduce -> worksforme issue 24341 is another problem, so I don't see a need to keep this open.
closing issue. Reopen when the problem reoccurs. Thank you for letting us know that it works now, too many forget that...

Yup, its back again, please see issue 27127 for reporters info and an error report.
sorry, but so far nobody of the qa-team could reproduce this error.
Reassign issue to owner of selected subcomponent, before it is from test
I insalled a new OOo 1.1.1 on Win98 and run AutoPilot report without crash or any problem.
If you can reproduce any crash please describe the steps in detail.
The steps are very simple : Reboot (or install ooo), then : - launch word processor - File - autopilot - report (or Fichier - autopilote - état in the french version) then ooo crashes, sending an error report. I can reproduce the bug any time I want. Maybe there is a conflict with one specific program installed on the 2 PC I uses for the test? Do you want more info about this?
What java version have you installed? Click Start>Settings>Control Panel. Then Java plug in. Finally click About and see what version is there (should be 1.2.4_04 or something similar).
