Description sforbes 2004-01-18 13:58:24 UTC
Imported word document, with embeded equations:
When Double clicking them, I get an error:
"Can't open OLE object undefined error" (the wording might be slightly off, as I
am translating from Hebrew- I am using the Hebrew version).

The result:
the equation can not be edited.

I am attaching a screen shot of the error and a sample doc.

Since Word formulas (MathType formaulas) require a MathType OLE /which you
probably do not have with your Linux) you cannot expect to be able to edit
formulas in imported Word documents.

That is unless before loading(!) you open the dialog "Tools / Options -
Load/Save - Microsoft Office" and check those boxes for load and save in the
MathType line.
This allows for automatic conversion of MathType objects to StarMath objects
which can be editet when running in a non Windows OS.

Set to invalid.
Comment 5 sforbes 2004-01-19 23:46:42 UTC
hmmm.. Why then it gave me such a criptic error message? I wonder if we can give
a more informative error message in such a case?
