Description Unknown 2001-11-28 01:44:25 UTC
Selection of “my document” to insert a file into a slide stops the program
from responding further. The issue can be replicated as follows:\

1.	Open open office Presentation part.
2.	Insert a presentation slide.
3.	Select a text box where you want to insert a file.
4.	Click “ insert “ from the main menu bar and select “file”
5.	“Insert file” dialog box will pop up.
6.	Select “ My document” ( My document is inside desktop and is a shared
folder) option for “ Look in” field.
7.	Notice that program stops responding.

End.

Note: We can insert a file from c and u drive without any problem where c drive
is a shared drive and u is network drive.

Hello Thorsten, this is an issue for you in the file-open-dialog.

Problem can`t be reproduced when using a internal 641c (which will be the next official OO-version). It would be nice to know
which File-Open dialog was used: Our own or the Windows-dialog.

Cem Kaner 12/5/01 I cannot reproduce this problem on build 638. Note that the setting was probably
Windows dialog becuase the open office dialog doesn't have a field named "look in."

(NOTE: I am adding comments like these to several bug reports, because these reports are being filed
by my students as part of the requirements for our software testing course at Florida Tech. I look
over the reports for grading and student feedback purposes but add comments for the OO team when I
think they might be helpful. For more info or to send me comments, contact me at kaner@kaner.com)
