Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 2289
OO 638C does not ask if you want to save your work on shutdown
Last modified: 2001-12-17 15:23:42 UTC
Hi, Yesterday I worked on a document in Writer and subsequently worked with a lot of other applications, leaving the Writer window in the background. As usual, I shut down my PC at the end of the workday. Today I found that all the modifications to the document had been simply discarded! I was Not Happy! This is easily reproducible by opening a Writer window, type something, then shut down the PC via the Windows start menu. The window simply closes without any message. If the program is closed due to system shutdown it should behave the same as when it is closed using the window close button or the File-Close menu, that is, prompt the user to either save or discard the modifications to the document. Best regards, Simon.
Known Problem which has already been reported to the development section. Will be fixed in a 641++ version.
Issue has been fixed in a internal 641 and will therefore also be fixed in the next OO-version.
Fixed, verified and closed !
